Kentucky @ Ole Miss

Kentucky plays its first SEC game Saturday at Ole Miss. The two teams actually have identical records at 11-3 heading into conference play. However, Mississippi is coming off a loss at St. Louis while UK is trying to run its winning streak to 8 in a row. Two of Ole Miss' losses have come to good team is UConn and Memphis, and the Rebels are undefeated at home. They actually played Memphis closer than Kentucky did earlier in the season.

This game will once again be closer than most UK fans would expect. It's neve easy to win on the road in conference, and Ole Miss has a tradition of keeping games close by making the game ugly. They'll be physical and come out fired up to get a great opening win in the conference. Kentucky has to look for better shots, and not settle for the 3 pointer like they did vs. Houston. Morris will be matched up with Dwayne Curtis, a 6'8" 290 lb. center that will not back down to anybody. I'm anxious to see how first year coach, Andy Kennedy will try to match up with the Cats.

My prediction: UK 64 Ole Miss 59
