Kentucky vs. Houston

Kentucky is coming into Wednesday's game vs. Houston at 10-3 with a 6 game winning streak. The Wildcats have actually not lost in over a month now, but are still getting very little national attention. Houston is 5-6 with a 3 game losing streak after getting off to a 4-1 start. They have scored over 80 points in 4 of their 5 wins, but just once in their 6 losses. They also have allowed 83 ppg. in their 6 losses and scored just 69.2.

Kentucky's defense has been impressive in the last 6 games. During that period UK has held opponents to just 59.8 ppg. and no team has scored over 68 points. This game is an opportunity for the defense to show they can hold a high scoring team down.

Kentucky is capable of running up and down the court, but I would rather see UK impose their will on the inside with Morris. If UK shoots well from outside, this game could get ugly early, but teams that can put up alot of points sometimes challenge Tubby's teams.

I'm going to predict an 83-64 Kentucky win.

Here's Houston's results so far:

@ Rhode Island = W 102-99 OT
Monmouth W 89-80
Grambling W 96-61
@ St. Louis L 78-81
Prairie View A&M W 101-54
@ Va. Commonwealth L 84-101
@ Arizona L 62-87
vs. Charlotte W 68-46
vs. Creighton L 72-80
vs. Nebraska L 57-70
UNLV L 62-78
