Monday's Scores
I was going to write a long comment on how ridiculous the new AP & Coaches' Polls are, but it's pretty useless. I do this blog as just a hobby, but I am willing to bet that me, countless other bloggers, and everybody who reads this page follows college basketball just as close as the people voting in these polls. I'm so glad that basketball is different from football in determining a champion.
Top 25:
Oklahoma 55 - Pretty good schedule strenght, but have no quality wins (8-4).
(8) Alabama 70 - Going into conference play at 13-1 (only loss @ Notre Dame); they get overlooked, but I think they're much better than LSU in the SEC west.
Other Scores:
Wichita St. 68 - 4th straight loss to go to 9-4 & 0-2 in the MVC; Need to get it toghether quick with games vs. Bradley and @ Missouri St. coming up.
Southern Illinois 73 - Aren't getting the attention that Wichita St. and Missouri St. are, but are 10-2 (2-0) with losses to Arkansas and @ Indiana.
New Mexico 68
Texas Tech 70 - Knight broke the all time wins record, so now we won't have to watch a mediocre team (that gets attention just due to their coach) on ESPN all the time now.
