Sunday's Scores

Midwest:

9 Purdue 67 - Able to hand with the Gators for the whole game, but just not enough fire power.
1 Florida 74 - Always turn it on in the 2nd half, but that could get dangerous.

11 Winthrop 61 - Seemed like they were just glad to be in the 2nd round.
3 Oregon 75 - Able to play much more like they wanted to than in round 1.

7 UNLV 74 - Well coached and very solid all around.
2 Wisconsin 68 - Their lack of offense and athletic ability wasn't going to get them to the Final 4, now they won't be embarrassed by Florida.

West:

8 Kentucky 76 - Morris was never stopped, but just not enough talent to help him out.
1 Kansas 88 - I don't see any weaknesses that will keep them out of the Final 4.

5 Virginia Tech 48 - Terrible matchup; never could play a wide open game like they wanted to.
4 Southern Illinois 63 - Imposed their tempo on this game, and executed so well in the halfcourt.

East:

5 USC 87 - Spoiled the media's Kevin Durant party.
4 Texas 68 - Outmatched the entire game; might have been thinking about 3rd round matchup with UNC.

5 Tennessee 77 - 2 great matchups in 1st 2 rounds; haven't faced an inside presence yet.
4 Virginia 74 - Another ACC contender that falls short of the sweet 16.

7 Nevada 62 - Rarely get to play an athletic team like Memphis, and it exposed their weaknesses.
2 Memphis 78 - Didn't shoot well, but are just so versatile and athletic that they win in many different ways.

Kentucky's Opponents:

Florida, Kansas, UCLA, North Carolina, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, and Memphis all advanced to the Sweet 16. I don't think there is any question that Kentucky had one of their hardest schedules of all time. The problem is that UK was only 1-9 vs. these teams. It is a pretty strong possibility that UK will have played all of the final 4 teams.
