Kentucky 76 Tennessee 57

Kentucky played a great 2nd half this time and ended up handling UT pretty easily. Bradley shot the ball much better and was able to drive to the goal for 21 pts. Meeks also had a big game with 16 pts. on 4-5 3 pointers. Crawford had 15 and Morris had 9 due mainly to foul trouble. Morris didn't score alot today, but there was a stretch in the 2nd half where he gave UK some big points that really allowed the Cats to build their lead.

Tennessee has now lost 6 of 7 with their only win a 3 point win over South Carolina. They haven't had Lofton the last 2 games, but they were struggling with him too. They're now at 14-7 and 2-4 in the SEC. They do have 4 of their next 5 at home, but they've already played what I consider the lower level SEC teams (Ole Miss., Miss. St., and Auburn). I don't think UT has any for sure wins left on their schedule. They might be able to go on a run like they did early in the year, but I think that the SEC has figured out how to beat this team. They have no size, and their halfcourt defense is terrible. If they can't force a turnover in the backcourt, they seem to almost concede a basket.

Even with Tennessee struggling, this was a big win for Kentucky. They have a full week to prepare for a hard game @ Arkansas, and they stay in a tie for 2nd in the SEC East. It's also a good rpi win. Tennessee's difficult schedule is keeping them high in the rpi and it just makes Kentucky's already difficult schedule look even better.
