Vanderbilt 72 Kentucky 67

Kentucky couldn't stop Vandy's 3 pt. shooting today and it cost them the game. UK allowed 11/23 on 3's and 50% overall FG's. Kentucky shot just 6/22 from the 3 and 43% overall. The Cats were at their best on offense when they moved the ball around and create open shots. However, there were too many times when the ball stopped moving and players such as Bradley just dribbled and waited for something to happen. UK also didn't look inside to Morris in the 2nd half even though he was much better in that half. I don't know why Bradley played point in the last few minutes, but it hurt Kentucky. He ended up with 4 turnovers and shot 0-5 from 3. Meeks and Crawford also both struggled shooting a combined 5-23. Kentucky's only good offense came inside with Thomas, Perry, and Morris combining for 36 points on 13-21 FG's.

I think the main point of this game was Kentucky tried to match Vandy's hot 3 point shooting instead of trying to exploit the advantage UK had in the paint. Kentucky actually shot 20 of 38 on 2's, but they settled for too many 3's. Kentucky has proven they are able to hit 3's in the past, but they have to let them come as a result of their inside game.
