UK vs. Charleston

Kentucky hosts the College of Charleston on Tuesday night, and hopes to recover from the beating they to against Memphis. Many fans are already down on this year's team mainly due to the 2nd half in the Memphis game. I think that the majority of the fan base would be ok with the close loss vs. UCLA, if UK would have beaten Memphis. However, they weren't able to do that, and we have to move on.

This will be a big week for Kentucky basketball mainly because of Saturday's game at North Carolina. First UK has to take care of Charleston. It should be a win, but it won't be as easy as many people expect it to be. Bobby Cremins has taken over in Charleston, and he will always put out a competitive team. Kentucky better make sure they can stop senior guard Dontaye Draper who is averaging 21.4 pts, although he stands just 5'11''. Our guards are big, and should have an advantage, but Bradley has been beaten off the dribble consistently. Jasper would have a huge size advantage versus Draper, but I like using Jasper's height to guard bigger players. I would rather have Crawford defend a guard, and let Jasper guard a forward.

Here is Charleston's results so far:

@ Georgia St. W 72-66
neutral vs. Villanova L 81-68
neutral vs. Va. Commonwealth L71-59
neutral vs. Middle Tennessee W 64-56
vs. UNC Wilmington W 91-70

I'm predicting a Kentucky win 73-61.
