Kentucky vs. Mississippi Valley State

Mississippi Valley St. is coming to Rupp tonight, and probably stay close to UK like Miami did 2 nights ago. However, I think this game will be much easier for Kentucky. Miss. Valley St. 0-2, and haven't been close to winning either of their first 2 games. Here are their results so far:

at Creighton L 42-78
at Mississippi L 49-72

If Kentucky is able to get off to a good start, this should be over by the 10 minute mark. But, it seems like the Cats have a tough time coming out on fire against sub-par opponents. Look for the ball go into Morris much more in the 1st half. Last game the guards weren't trying to get the ball to Morris, but he wasn't demanding the ball enough either. I think Tubby has probably pointed that out as well.

Tonight will be the season debut of Sheray Thomas also. Sheray needs to get off to a good start this year, or I'm afraid that he will lose all confidence and will be a non-factor throughout the year. He has got to play well for UK to have a really successful season. With Morris's foul troubles, Stevenson's youth, Woo's inconsistent play, and Carter's injury, Thomas has got to produce. I hope that Tubby brings Sheray off the bench, and rewards Stevenson with another start.

My prediction for tonight: UK 84 Miss. Valley St. 59
